5 Unique Uses For A Carabiner

5 May 2010 Posted by David One Comment

When you think of a carabiner you likely are picturing that little piece of life saving equipment. It’s small, lightweight and inexpensive… yet can save our lives time and time again. Carabiners are widely used in sports requiring ropework, such as rock climbing, slacklining, caving, and canyoning. But they can also be used in so many different outdoor activities (attaching your water bottle to a backpack while hiking) and situations around the house.

2. Self defense – think brass knuckles
3. Carrying bags
4. Coat hanger in your car
5. Dog leash attachment

Do you have any unique uses for carabiners that are not listed here? We’d love to hear about them. Please post a comment and let us know.

Enjoy rock climbing? Shop a great selection of t-shirts and hoodies with carabiners on them, including this Quickdraw Carabiner T-shirt.
